The Escort II dagger is knife made from a solid stack of three different types of aerospace grade carbon fiber:

  • Outer Layer: 3k 2xt twill weave fabric, that diagonal pattern we all love
  • Internal Layers: Internally this knife is made up of a mix of unidirectional weave along with something called lightning strike. Lightning strike is carbon fiber woven with strands of aluminum, using this material keeps the daggers visible when going through a metal detector.

The blade is made up of 12 layers of carbon, while the handle is made up of a total of 36 layers of carbon fiber.

You would think all those layers would weigh this carbon fiber knife down...but think again.  The honeycomb structure cuts the weight down, even more, bringing it down to just 25 grams, a tiny bit under one ounce...while still remaining insanely strong!  The knife is 8" long and 1" wide with a blade thickness of .100" and handle thickness of .300".  It is made 100% in the USA.

Please keep in mind that carbon fiber does not offer a super sharp blade on the knife, it's not really meant for cutting, but rather for self-defense/stabbing or as an art/decorative knife...or even a beautiful letter opener.  The blade does not hold an edge but can be "sharpened' by simply using a sandpaper or even a sharpening stone.

  • Solid carbon fiber dagger/letter opener/art knife
  • Honeycomb blade and handle design
  • Weighs just 25 grams
  • Has a minimal number of aluminum wires running through it so it is detectable by a metal detector
  • Made in the USA

Escort II

I could not give this knife 5 stars because although it is what was said in the description the finish was not the quality of those in the pictures. I will use this knife as an EDC and not as a show pice. Ps I must say that it is light and Iam sure if I had to use it it would not let me down.

False advertising

I thought it was a knife or "dagger". Actually it's more like a letter opener. Not sharp at all, has no sharp edge to it at all. It's COOL... But that's it! Sorry to burst the bubble but I was disappointed

Nice and light

Wish it came with a better more concealed sheath and sharpened at the factory would be nice. I understand its for stabbing but both you me know, you can put a razors edge carbon fibre! So stoves lacking and send me some better stuff!

Very very cool product. The

Very very cool product. The photograph in the site was suburb. The machining was clean, the carbon fiber was dark, rich and looked like it had epoxy finish. The actually product the Manu did not take time of care job finishing the good. Most machined thru wholes had reminisce Of machining on the corners. The top layers did was not finished or buffed as there were scratches and a very dull look from handling. There were noticeable glue spots at the blade handle joint. Call me picky, but if I buying a unique good for $80, I want it to look like the picture and care when it is made

Escort II Carbon fiber knife and the other two in the series

Products as advertised. Interesting concept. would like a 'little' sharper point but not sure that's possible without securing a point made of another similar material that is solid. But, satisfied with the knives.
