In shopping for license plate covers, most of what you'll find is cheap Amazon plastic covers with a rubber back. While the rubber is a nice touch (to keep the system sealed and protect your trunk from the metal of the plate/frame), all the reviews report how easily they break, how quickly the plastic yellows/cracks, and how condensation builds up in the cover immediately.

I put more effort into shopping for a plate frame than I care to admit - but if it's worth doing once, it's worth doing right - and I'll say I have been pleasantly surprised with how well this company delivers.

Not only did the product ship as soon as I ordered, but it only took a few days to reach (Maryland > Florida isn't exactly a short trip). The package reached me in perfect condition, and I was immediately impressed with the quality of the frame. Exquisite carbon weave, even resin application, and NO chips, scratches, or fading in the acrylic. To my surprise also, there are tabs at the bottom of the frame on the interior to hold the plate in the frame - this was great to see as I was concerned about vibrations rattling the plate and frame. I also purchased the Blackout Edition Hardware Kit - which arrived exactly as advertised.

The install was as simple as you think it is (it's a license plate folks, what do you expect) yet surprisingly satisfying, as those tabs I mentioned earlier hold the plate and frame together solidly, and completely flush to the surface of my trunk! I was prepared to write a review suggesting the addition of a rubber backing plate to ensure the components sit flush and avoid dirt getting in, but with the fitment I'm seeing after install I don't think that'll be an issue!

Phenomenal work - a big thank you to everyone at this business. I'll be sure to update this review over the course of my ownership, but I'm feeling confident this product is going to hold up for a long time!

Really love the look and quality

I was looking for a carbon fiber plate for my Harley Road Glide. Found this one and was very impressed by the quality. Fitment is perfect and looks great with the other carbon fiber parts I have on the bike.

Very high quality license plate frame. The carbon fiber looks great, and the screw caps are a nice touch and blend well. I bought the two hole frame and it came with double sided sticky tape for the bottom. That only lasted a few weeks even with prepping with alcohol. I removed it and bought some “gorilla glue” double sided sticky tape and that is still going strong. Also a big kudos to Dave for his excellent customer service and quick response time on another product I bought. All around a five star experience, thanks for helping my car look great!

The matte license plate frame is constructed from real, high-quality carbon fiber. It looks amazing and perfectly complements the matte carbon fiber trim on my car.

The frame came with a slight blemish, but Carbon Fiber Gear customer service was very responsive and resolved the issue quickly.

I am a huge sucker for carbon fiber. As such, I’ve had numerous items of different sorts and this ring is a fantastic piece! The workmanship is second to none. If I had one complaint, it fits a bit smaller than my other wedding band that is supposedly the same ring size. That said, I cannot bring myself to return it. It really is that stunning… Chance’m, you won’t be disappointed!
