You can sign your name with anything, and most days you do, usually with whatever was in the cup by the register. A pen only gets noticed when it does something the others do not. On this one that means a matte carbon fiber barrel running into SS304 stainless steel, and a bolt under your thumb where the click button would be.

Since 2007 we have specialized in carbon fiber, which is why the barrel is what we looked at first: a real plain weave with a matte finish, so the checkerboard shows without a gloss coat over it. One thumb, in either hand, brings the tip out and the bolt locks there while you write. It takes Parker-type G2 refills, not Pilot G2. At 64 grams it has weight, and customers say so, not always as a compliment: one review took off a star because it is heavier than expected.
