About this collection

100% carbon fiber rings

Most carbon fiber rings are a band of something else with carbon set into a channel. These are not that.

Carbon all the way through

100% carbon fiber rings have no metal core and no inlay. The weave runs through the whole band, so it shows on the inside face and on the edges, not only across the top.

What that changes

Nothing interrupts the pattern, so the band reads as one continuous surface with no line where one material stops and another starts. People who want that tend to want it specifically, which is why it has its own page.

Questions about 100% Carbon Fiber Rings

3 questions

Yes. Carbon fiber conducts electricity, and so does titanium, so neither one is the non-conductive alternative people sometimes assume a non-precious ring will be. If you need something safe around live circuits, that is a silicone band, not one of these. Better to know before than after.

Twill runs a diagonal, plain weave runs a grid, uni-directional runs the fibers one way so the band reads as lines instead of a pattern, and forged has no direction at all because the fibers are chopped and pressed before they set. Same material arranged differently, so this is a looks question and not a quality one.

It has no metal in it, so it does not bend. A metal band under enough force deforms and can be reshaped afterwards; a solid composite one does neither. That is a difference in behavior rather than a ranking, and it is the reason the size has to be right the first time.
