In late July, Bentley announced that there would be a new addition to the Bentley Bentayga. And that is a new wheel for the Bentley SUV.
Being a 22-inch design, this is the largest carbon fiber wheel ever to appear on a production car. Bentley's Mulliner division and Bucci Composites collaborated to make this unique wheel.

Compared to the Bentley Bentayga's standard 22-inch wheels, the new ones will save 13 pounds per corner in unsprung mass. The bigger wheels are also stronger and stiffer than usual, with less camber loss under hard G-forces. All those properties translate to improved braking, enhanced stability and agility, and the tires would last longer.
Besides, with the new wheels, the 2021 Bentley Bentayga is also safer against major impacts that would damage the tire. This is achievable by having the weave pulling apart for gradual air loss, contrary to losing air immediately with an aluminum wheel.

3. How Does This Affect the Bentley Bentayga Price?
So, the new carbon fiber wheels provide all those amazing benefits. Will this drive the Bentley Bentayga price up?
For now, we don't know the exact price of the new carbon fiber wheels. But, as the market goes, we can expect an addition of a few thousand dollars per set. These wheels will be available along with other carbon fiber options for the Bentley Bentayga. These include its splitter, rear diffusers, interior trim, and side skirts.
Bentley has announced that the new carbon fiber wheels are the first ever to pass the Technischer Überwachungsverei procedure, a famous rigorous test regimen. The wheels have gone through tire overpressuring, impact, biaxial stress, and excessive torque testing for potholes and cobblestones. Also, Bentley has taken the new set of wheels through the Nurburgring Nordschleife test for its final signoff. So if anything, rest assured that if you decide to get the new set, it would be worth your money!
