High quality frame. This is the second one I have bought. The frame is high quality, looks great, and lasts.

Great quality and it’s worthit

Ive ordered several different carbon fiber plate covers over the years. While this one was expensive, you can see why. It's real carbon fiber and it's beautiful. I ordered the forged carbon fiber.

Extremely light and well made. I went with the forged.

I originally ordered the tinted CF plate cover but it was too dark for my liking. I sent it back and got the forged CF cover instead and it’s absolutely amazing! High quality parts they sell!

I’m not sure how to rate the frame. It looked amazing upon arrival and the minute my new AMG arrived I knew it was the place for this frame. However. After a year of intermittent exposure to the elements and hand washing it failed miserably. The protective coating wasn’t protective and the plate looked awful. Embarrassing.

I placed a very honest review here and customer service immediately reached out to me. Although the warranty on the plate had run out, CFG explained that the protectant coating had proven of poor quality and the license plate surround had been modified and improved from the version I had purchased. Customer service graciously sent a replacement for free even though I was beyond their warranty and I am extremely grateful to give the new license plate frame a chance to show off again.

Once the frame has had some time to age I can provide an update on its integrity. In the meantime I can truly say the license plate looks very nice (again). For lack of a better description it is not solid forged cabin fiber but a layer/veneer attached to what appears to be carbon weave beneath. I have been told that this increases the strength above a solid forged surround. At present it looks fantastic and seems to be of high quality.

The frame attaches via the two holes at the top. Unlike some other frames, there is no clip behind the bottom of the frame to secure the frame to the plate — there is instead two pieces of foam with sticky tape due to the complexity of manufacturing.

Despite the breakdown of the license surround appearance, the plate surround did stay securely during its tenure on the AMG.

Their carbon (both forged and raw) are superior to every other companies selling similar products. Their product are by far the highest quality compared to all other carbon products I have purchased in the past. I will continue to do business with this company as I have never received such high quality products and such stellar service in my past e-commerce experiences.

Really hesitant on ordering due to the $80 price tag but Really drawn in by the unique design and look. Pulled the plug and ordered hoping for the best. Ordered the glossy carbon fiber license plate frame. Received item nicely packaged within several days. Upon opening was immediately disappointed 😞 in the quality of the glossy clear coat. Had lines and specs of dirt from the manufacturing. Reached out through website for RTA but no response. Return policy says they except returns but you pay shipping even though it's not used and in original package. Not a good experience.

I’ve had random “carbon fiber” plate frames in the past that arrived looking blocky and cheap. I’ve known about Carbon Fiber Gear for over a decade and am very pleased with the forged carbon frame. High quality and a brand I can trust!

I really wanted to like this. The design of the front of the frame is a million times better than my dealer plate frame. Unfortunately the back of the frame feels unfinished. My dealer's plate frame actually has a cut out for a plate to slide in, with a couple plastic tabs sticking out to make sure the plate is secured. The back of this carbon fiber frame doesn't have much to secure the plate. It has a couple of cheap double sided adhesive strips on the bottom, but that's it. They should literally copy the design of my dealer's plate frame back. Also provide matte black painted screws with flat heads instead of this overly complicated washer and cap combo. The first picture shows the dealer plate frame and the screws alongside the carbon fiber frame.
