Among three models presented by MV for the year 2023 at the Eicma's show in Milan, MV's new Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro has drawn a great deal of attention from the public with its exquisite details and powerful engine. Or, more precisely, it is seen as the perfect blend of Brutale 1000 RR and Superveloce 800.

Let's unveil what the new MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro looks like.

MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro: The First Look

In Milan's Eicma show, MV Agusta introduced the new MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 as a new member of the neo-retro family, starting with Superveloce 800. Plus, the limited edition was claimed to be one of the most hyped and aesthetically pleasing motorcycles of MV's Serie Oro range right after its release to the public.

The hype is no joke! The outer cover perfectly combines red, silver, and golden details that capture the essence of a timeless Italian marque. Established from the forerunner Brutale 1000 RR, it means the new MV Agusta Superveloce carries on the same frame, single-sided swingarm, and the engine — an 800cc three-cylinder engine producing a claimed 209.1bph with the installment of the race kit.

However, MV decided to add a powerful twist by expanding to a 1000cc four-cylinder, hence the name: MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro.

MV Agusta Superveloce 1000: The Power That Stunts Everyone

The motorcycle has an 845mm seat height, 940mm width, and 2080mm length. The wheelbase is 1,415mm, and the fuel capacity is 16 liters.

Since its engine is identical to MV's Brutale 1000 RR, Superveloce 1000 has a power capacity of up to 208 horsepower with a maximum torque output of 116.5Nm. According to claims from MV, it can power Superveloce 1000 to over 300 kph (186mph). The new Superveloce 1000 can emit 39.2kg of downforce at 320 kph. The race kit mentioned above can increase its power to 212 horsepower.

Moreover, MV has installed a countershaft spinning twice as fast as the main crankshaft to remove high-frequency and improve cornering, resulting in a 54% reduction in vibration at 14,000 rpm.

For the new Superveloce 1000, MV has partnered with Ohlins to provide 43mm Nix EC hydraulic USD forks featuring electronic adjustability and an Ohlins EC TTX shock absorber at the rear, allowing riders to enjoy the smoothest ride of their lives.

Superveloce: The Epitome of Timeless Italian Design

In the house of MV, their “Motorcycle Art” mantra doesn't equal “impracticality.” That said, the new MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 was exquisitely integrated to go with style and functional technical, with a dash of historical details.

In terms of design, MV's design team managed to give the nod to their glorious past by drawing inspiration from their 500cc Grand Prix racer created in 1972 while also following the same design philosophy of the SV 800. With the front following the same essence in design, it is safe to say the back is a tad different. The rear wheel of the Superveloce 1000 has tires measuring 200/55 ZR 17.

The new Superveloce 1000 features a front aerodynamic wing that resembles those from MotoGP. This helps produce downforce on the front wheel while also improving cooling effectiveness. MV has claimed that it generates 86 lbs of downforce at 198 mph.

In this new sports bike, MV managed to change the driving posture by placing the handlebar higher, accompanied by totally adjustable footpegs, guaranteeing more comfort, enhancing riding performance, and offering a wide range of footrests for riders while on the go.

In the new bodywork with the engine of the Brutale 1000 RR wrapped underneath, the new Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro is undoubtedly the most sophisticated motorcycle design on the market, thanks to MV's excellent job at blending the modern and the classic.

New MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro Is a Carbon Fantasy

Nothing beats premium materials when it comes to MV's sports motorcycles. According to MV's R&D Director Brian Gillen,

“With the Superveloce 800, we created the neo-retro supersport category. We have now gone even further, adding to the range and creating a neo-retro hypersport bike. We have drawn on our history as a technological pioneer, but the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro goes far beyond a look back at the past. Application of technology has not been focused solely on the bike itself but on the entire manufacturing process: from design and development tools through to industrialization. Technology features throughout the process, from start to finish: 3D scanning, computer fluid dynamics, 3D modeling, and virtualization. One example is our analysis of carbon-fiber production processes and choice of multiple build technologies, both manual laminate and forged, based on real usage requirements. They have specific characteristics that we can utilize, such as the reduced thickness and multi-directional resistance of forged carbon fiber. Technology, not only for the component itself but the entire process. We have been able to employ new technologies that until just a few years ago would have been considered futuristic, and which we have used to explore the relationship between style and engineering.”

Weighing around 194 kg dry, carbon fiber is the key material that brings such a breeze to the total bodywork of Superveloce 1000, except the fuel tank made of thermoplastic resin — no wonder it's praised as a carbon-clad superbike. In all 40 elements of carbon fiber allowing the Superveloce 1000 to move at greater ease and bring greater comfort to riders, some of the most noticeable of the new MV Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro are:

  • Front fairing cover and support - Front fairing LH/RH
  • Aerodynamic wing LH/RH - Side fairing LH/RH
  • Air intake LH / RH - Belly pan rear spoiler - Airbox
  • Headlight support cover - Air intake cover LH/RH
  • Oil radiator protection LH/RH - Radiator cover
